SCAEF Future Leaders Nepal (FLN)
SCAEF Future Leaders Nepal (FLN) is a formal platform established under the Society of Consulting Architectural and Engineering Firms (SCAEF), Nepal, to nurture the next generation of leaders in the consulting engineering and architectural profession. Formally approved by the SCAEF Executive Committee on 7 July 2025, FLN represents SCAEF’s commitment to future-readiness, leadership development, and institutional sustainability.
Aligned with the vision and principles of FIDIC and the FIDIC Asia Pacific Future Leaders Executive Committee (FLEC), FLN goes beyond technical excellence to promote holistic professional growth. The initiative focuses on developing leadership, communication, public engagement, strategic thinking, and emotional intelligence, competencies increasingly essential for addressing complex infrastructure challenges and shaping the future of Nepal’s consulting industry.
FLN serves as a peer-driven, cross-firm platform for young engineers and architects under 40 working in SCAEF member firms. It actively fosters collaboration, knowledge sharing, and networking among emerging professionals, while also representing Nepal’s young consulting professionals in regional and global FIDIC Future Leaders forums.
Key activities of FLN include capacity-building workshops, seminars, and webinars; the flagship “FL Talks” series; mentorship initiatives; newsletters and publications; networking events; and active support to SCAEF’s institutional programs through a volunteering approach. Through these engagements, FLN injects fresh perspectives, energy, and innovation into SCAEF’s ongoing work.
Operating under the guidance and supervision of the SCAEF Executive Committee, FLN is fully institutionalized through a dedicated Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), ensuring transparency, accountability, and continuity. More than a committee, FLN is a movement, empowering young professionals to lead with competence, confidence, and integrity, and to contribute meaningfully to a stronger, more dynamic, and future-ready consulting industry in Nepal.
